Power of a Power Exponent Rules Help Fun Game Tips: The fourth power of the third power of two can be written as (2^{3})^{4} . You can simplify (2^{3})^{4} = (2^{3})(2^{3})(2^{3})(2^{3}) to the single power 2^{12}. The Power of a Power Rule states (b^{m})^{n} is equal to b^{mn}. This rule means that you multiply the exponents together and keep the base unchanged. Here are four more examples: (3^{5})^{2} = 3^{10} (k^{4})^{2} = k^{8} (z^{3})^{y} = z^{3y} (6^{2})^{10} = (6^{20}) Refresh/Reload the web page to start over again.
